Citadel Policy & Communications is celebrating its 20th anniversary working with and supporting campaigns with young people and across communities. We put youth engagement at the heart for policy-influence, government and media relations and social action, including over 1,000 young people supported to take part in the party conferences of Government and Opposition since 2010.
We aim to improve retention of existing foster carers and end the current revolving door recruitment and retention crisis by providing robust targeted support and advice to our members to enable and empower them to give to highest level of care to their much-loved foster children.
The National Youth Agency’s vision is of a world where every young person can access youth work.
Youth work matters because it changes lives; it helps young people to feel safe, thrive and have their voices heard, enabling them to take charge of their own futures.
Last year marked the 60th anniversary of the NYA and also the start of a new five-year strategy to rebuild the youth work sector, attract new entrants into this rewarding and varied career and ensure that youth work is valued for the impact it has on the outcomes of young people. We are thrilled to sponsor the Youth Work category at this year’s Children and Young People Now awards and help shine a spotlight on those who are leading the way in excellent practice.
Find out more about the work of the NYA and the support we provide to all those who work with young people through our training, events and resources visit www.nya.org.uk.
Timeout are a family run organisation, established with the aim of making a real difference to the lives of children with complex needs. We are a family run-organisation and we continue to create this family culture throughout the organisation and teams. Timeout Homes was created in 2004 with the opening of one home and the aim of helping at least one child. Since then, Timeout has only continued to grow and develop over the years to where we are now. We now currently have 18 care homes open across Greater Manchester, Lancashire, and West Yorkshire and have the fantastic opportunity to help more children.
The Youth Endowment Fund was established in March 2019 by children’s charity Impetus, with a £200m endowment and 10-year mandate from the Home Office. We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice. The YEF is part of the What Works Network, an initiative to improve the way government and other public sector organisations create, share and use high quality evidence in decision-making.
